To the International Community and to World Leaders

Rainbow Fellowship Global Network believes in the love, respect, and dignity of all human beings. We believe that all human beings are equal and entitled to equal protection of law irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, or any other distinctive feature. The international human rights instruments such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and numerous other enactments have embodied the principle of equality among human beings and recognized that all human beings are entitled to the rights enumerated in these legislative instruments. The international human rights instruments have imposed legal obligations on the international community to ensure the protection of the rights of every human being and to take measures for the enforcement of the these rights .

Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, queer and non-binary individuals are entitled to the right to life, right to equal protection of the law, right to not be discriminated against in employment, healthcare, public life, right to marry, and other human rights protections guaranteed by international human rights instruments. The struggle of the LGBTQ+ community has resulted in positive developments and numerous countries have recognized the fundamental rights of the LGBTQ+ community. However, there are many countries in which the members of the LGBTQ+ community are deprived of their fundamental rights. In more than 70 countries homosexuality is criminalized and the members of the LGBTQ+ community have to face penal consequences for their identity. Similarly, in other countries the members of the LGBTQ+ community are discriminated against in the employment sector, throw out of homes, disowned by their loved ones, and face harassment, humiliation, and isolation for expressing their identity.

Rainbow Fellowship Global Network is working to eliminate homophobia and Transphobia from the world. We are working to promote a world that is inclusive for all human beings, a world where there is no discrimination based on sexual orientation, a world where people are not criminally penalized for being who they are, a world in which no one lives in fear of persecution or violence, a world which is based on respect, compassion, empathy and a world in which the promises made in the international human rights instruments are fully realized. From the platform of RFGN, we are inviting leaders from all around the world to join us in this mission and cooperate with us to realize our mission and make our world a better place to live in.

At RFGN, we believe that love is a fundamental right and every individual human being is entitled to love and be loved by others. To restrict love is not only a violation of human rights but it is against human dignity. RFGN believes that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender, and other non-binary individuals are entitled to love and be loved like their heterosexual counterparts. Sexual orientation is not a choice but it is given by nature. Therefore, the members of the LGBTQ+ community are entitled to express their love and if they want to marry, they should be entitled to exercise their fundamental right. RFGN invites world leaders to join us in working for the protection of the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. RFGN appreciates the positive developments in numerous countries and the legalization of same-sex marriage and expecting other countries to follow the same.

RFGN appeals to the members of the international community and world leaders to join hands with us and work together for the protection of the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. RFGN requests the world leaders to employ diplomatic means to encourage the homophobic countries to amend their laws, repeal criminal penalties for homosexuality and enact laws in compliance with international human rights instruments. RFGN appeals to world leaders to encourage homophobic countries to review their laws and legalize same sex marriage. RFGN is willing to work with world leaders to create awareness about the challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community in different countries and to take substantial measures for the elimination of transphobia and homophobia from the world.

Rainbow Fellowship Global Network recognized that the members of the LGBTQ+ community have also contributed to homophobia and transphobia by engaging in activities such as sex in public restrooms, and showers, etc. RFGN is working to create awareness among the members of the LGBTQ+ community to play a positive role in our struggle for the elimination of homophobia from the world. RFGN is working to create awareness among the members of the LGBTQ+ community to be sensitive about their choices, avoid engaging in activities that are contributing to homophobia, and create awareness about homosexuality.

RFGN acknowledged that homosexual practices such as anal sex, sex under the influence of drugs, and other unhealthy sexual behavior are a prominent cause of Sexually Transmitted diseases (STDs) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). RFGN is working with the LGBTQ+ community and creating awareness about the negative consequences of unhealthy sexual behavior and encourage the members of the LGBTQ+ community to adopt healthy habits.

Rainbow Fellowship Global Network is hopeful to receive a positive response from world leaders, international human rights organizations, civil society, and other segments of society. RFGN invites all stakeholders to join hands with us in this noble mission and work with us to eliminate homophobia and transphobia from the world. RFGN appeals to the members of the international community to employ diplomatic means to encourage homophobic countries to review anti-LGBTQ+ laws, make amendments in the law and enact laws in compliance with the international human rights instruments. RFGN appeals to world leaders to join us in this mission and take concrete measures for the protection of fundamental rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other non-binary individuals. RFGN also requests the members of the LGBTQ+ community to adopt healthy sexual behavior and avoid practices that are contributing to homophobia and transphobia.
